The prestigious Top 500 rankings were published at the international conference "Super Computing 2007" that took recently took place in Reno, Nevada. They are the standard of reference for the fastest supercomputers in the world.
This 30th edition places IN2P3, a CNRS research unit dedicated to providing resources for supercomputing and data storage to meet the needs of corpuscular physics research, in 3rd place among research sites in France. The CC-IN2P3 is also the 12th European search site to be considered and is ranked among the top 100 in the world.
